Consultation for Schools and Educators

Building Stronger Math Programs, Together

Collaborative, psychology-informed support that helps schools reach all math students.

Supporting Every Learner Is Complex — But Possible

All students deserve equitable, accessible math instruction. Yet it can be hard for schools to fully meet every learner’s needs — whether that’s addressing curriculum gaps, building intervention supports, or equipping teachers to support diverse learners.

I work with school leaders as a consultant and thought partner to explore their challenges and co-create solutions that fit their teachers, students, systems, and school culture.

The goals of my consultation are to create empowered educators, effective supports, and classrooms where all students can thrive in math.

Math + Psychology, In Practice

Hi, I'm Adena

As a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Math Educator, I connect the insights of psychology with the practice of teaching math, giving schools a unique perspective on how to reach every learner.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve taught gifted students, supported students with math disabilities, worked within school systems as a psychologist and learning specialist, and consulted with educators — a breadth of experience that shapes the insight and skills I bring to my work with schools today.

My Approach

I begin by listening to your school’s unique challenges, needs, and goals. Together, we’ll clarify what’s at the heart of the problem and identify solutions that fit your context.

The best solutions come from partnership. I work closely with leaders and teachers so plans are both practical in the classroom and aligned with schoolwide priorities.

My role isn’t to hand you a prescription — it’s to strengthen your capacity. Together, we build understanding and skills that give you the confidence to create and carry out solutions.

Ways We Can Work Together

Every partnership begins with consultation. I start by listening to your goals and challenges, helping you clarify what’s at the heart of your needs. From there, we can explore the approaches that will be most effective for your school.

I work directly with school leaders to address systemic challenges — from curriculum evaluation and intervention supports to teacher training — with the goal of creating effective solutions that strengthen math instruction and support student success.

When staff need shared tools and understanding, I provide professional learning that’s tailored to your teachers and your students. These sessions are designed to be practical and engaging, giving teachers insights and strategies they can put into practice right away.

I work with teachers individually or in small groups to explore the challenges they bring — from meeting diverse learning needs to creating engaging math instruction. Our work is flexible and responsive, building the insight, skills, and confidence teachers need to support all of their math learners.

Together, we’ll find solutions that fit your school, strengthen teacher capacity, and help every student succeed in math.
